5 ways to clear your mind

Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially with living in pandemic, working from home, and getting ready for the kids NOT to go back to school.

Here are '5 ways to clear your mind'...

1) phone a friend

Pick up the phone and call a friend. Talk and listen. Discuss obstacles and achievements.

Sometimes just hearing a friends voice is a way to reduce stress and clear your mind.

2) unplug from technology

Disconnect from cyber-world and reconnect to the world around you. Putting down the technology also gives your eyes a much needed break and reduces tension in the neck from "text neck".

3) get outside

Leave the house or step outside from the office (which might also be your home). Breathe in the fresh air and feel the wind on your skin. Leave your phone and notice your surroundings. Come back to the house/work feeling refreshed.

4) pick up a book

Picking up a book allows us to get away without actually 'getting away'. Fantasy, fiction, non-fiction...whatever you fancy. we can gain insight, advice, and peace of mind of mind by reading.

5) workout

My favorite! Working out is a great way to reduce stress. In addition to clearing the mind, there are a ton of benefits to working out...reduce the risk of certain diseases, manage blood sugar, improve mental health, shape and tone muscles

(consult your physician before starting any new workout plan)
